The NSW Wine Festival has drawn to a close after five wonderful weeks (Feburary 21 -March 31, 2013).
Kicking off with a great launch party at Ananas Bar and Restaurant at the new ArgyleXchange, we held our first-ever Friday night Sydney Cellar Door on Feburary 21, with thousands of people coming to Hyde Park for the evening. This year's park layout worked beautifully, with 100 NSW wineries and 25 restaurant stalls focussing on premium NSW produce, plus some fabulous up-and-coming local talent on the live music stage.
The new Master Winemakers' Tasting Room, presented by CrackaWines, was a great success and eventgoers enjoyed lots of Acqua Panna too!
Throughout the month, restaurants and bars offered NSW Wine of the Month and Wine Flight of the Month, Dine with NSW Wine, the new Sticky and Sweet offer and a series of inspiring Tour of the Regions dinners across Sydney and regional NSW.
The NSW Wine Festival, brought to you by Citibank, is a partnership between The Sydney Morning Herald and the NSW Wine Industry Association, with the support of the NSW government.
The aim of the Festival is to showcase the quality and regional diversity of NSW Wines and our 14 wine regions and to introduce guests to the breadth and depth of NSW wine-making, as well as matching it with great NSW regional produce.
So, here's cheers to NSW Wine! Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for ongoing NSW Wine news throughout the year.
